If you're an Auditor trying to raise an invoice for your exam and seeing an error message, this article walks you through the key reasons why – and what you can do about it.
Exam Eligibility Requirements
Before contacting support, check the following to determine why you may be ineligible to raise an invoice:
✅ Your membership status must be In Good Standing
✅ All previous exams must be completed and paid
For Part III Exams only:
✅ You must have an Approved Audit Log
✅ You are not on a Part III waiting period
🔒 Membership Status
You can check your Membership Status in your online account under the Membership Status tab.
If your status is:
- Lapsed, refer to: Why is my APSCA membership showing as “Lapsed”?
- Expired status, refer to: My membership is Expired. How do I restore my membership to In Good Standing?
Until your membership is restored to In Good Standing, you will not be able to proceed with exam invoicing.
🕓 Pending Exams or Unpaid Invoices
You cannot raise a new invoice if:
You have a pending exam that has not yet been completed, and/or
You have an unpaid invoice for a previous exam
To proceed:
Complete your pending exam
Pay any outstanding invoices
If you're unsure whether you have a pending or unpaid item, check the Invoices tab in your online account.
📋 Approved Audit Log
To sit a Part III exam, you must have an Audit Log approved by APSCA.
⏳ Part III Waiting Period
If you have failed the Part III exam three or more times, you may be placed on a waiting period before you can attempt the exam again.
